About Lightening Peel

The Lightening Peel is a glycolic acid based peel for professional use, combining glycolic acid 40% with TMA 5%, citric acid 4% and lactic acid 3%. It comes in a 30 ml bottle and is used in clinic protocols chosen for uneven tone and pigmentation.

Glycolic acid, the main ingredient, is the smallest alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and penetrates the skin readily. Lactic acid is a larger, gentler AHA, and citric acid, a fruit acid, adds a further AHA to the blend. TMA 5% completes the formula. With glycolic acid at 40%, this is a peel that belongs with practitioners experienced in AHA peels, and like other glycolic peels it is brought to an end as its instructions direct.

Clinics use the Lightening Peel in protocols for uneven tone, pigmentation, melasma-prone skin, sun-damaged skin and acne marks. Dermis & Dosis supplies it from Lahore to licensed clinics, dermatologists and trained aesthetic practitioners across Pakistan, with no public price. Message us on WhatsApp with your clinic's details for price and availability.

In the treatment room

The Lightening Peel suits a clinic with an established tone and pigmentation service that wants a ready formula rather than a single acid. Because glycolic acid is its main ingredient, ending the peel is part of the method, and how that is done is set by its instructions: keep any neutralising solution they call for in the room before the peel begins. Application and technique come from the practitioner's training, not this page.

Peels chosen for pigmentation call for the most careful client selection. Take a medical history, asking about recent oral isotretinoin, active infections, broken or irritated skin and pregnancy, and assess the skin closely, using a test area where appropriate. On darker skin types, common in Pakistan, and on melasma-prone skin, irritation can lead to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, the opposite of what the client came for, so stricter caution applies. Sun protection matters especially here: give clear advice on it and on aftercare, and keep the bottle closed, away from heat and out of reach of children.

Questions about Lightening Peel

What is in the Lightening Peel?

Glycolic acid 40%, TMA 5%, citric acid 4% and lactic acid 3%, in a 30 ml bottle. Glycolic acid is the main ingredient, and citric and lactic acids add two further alpha hydroxy acids to the blend.

Is the Lightening Peel suitable for melasma-prone skin?

It is chosen for melasma-prone skin in clinic protocols, but this is skin that needs particular care. Melasma-prone and darker skin can react to irritation with more pigmentation, so the decision belongs to the trained practitioner after a consultation, a skin assessment and, where appropriate, a test area.
