About Neutralizing Solution
The Neutralizing Solution is a 60 ml solution for professional use at the end of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) peels, such as glycolic and lactic acid peels. It is used as the peel's own instructions direct, and it belongs in any clinic room where AHA peels are carried out.
Alpha hydroxy acids keep working for as long as they remain active on the skin. That is why an AHA peel is not simply left to run its course: it is brought to a defined end, and a neutralising solution is the means of doing so. Not every peel is ended this way, and whether a neutraliser is called for depends on the peel and its instructions. When and how the Neutralizing Solution is used is set by those instructions and by the practitioner's training, not by this page.
In the Dermis & Dosis range, it sits alongside the Glycolic Acid Peel, the Lactic Acid Peel and the Combination Peel, and with any other AHA peel whose instructions call for a neutraliser. Dermis & Dosis supplies it from Lahore to licensed clinics, dermatologists and trained aesthetic practitioners across Pakistan, with no public price. Message us on WhatsApp with your clinic's details for price and availability.
In the treatment room
A neutraliser is part of setting up the room for an AHA peel. It should be in the room and within reach before the peel starts, not fetched once the peel is under way, and the practitioner should know from the peel's instructions when it is called for. Ordering it with your AHA peels keeps the two in step.
The neutraliser is one part of careful peel practice, not a replacement for the rest. Each AHA peel still begins with a consultation and a medical history, asking about recent oral isotretinoin, active infections, broken or irritated skin and pregnancy, followed by a skin assessment and a test area where appropriate, with stricter caution on the darker skin types common in Pakistan because of the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. After the peel, give sun protection and aftercare advice. Store the Neutralizing Solution closed, away from heat and out of reach of children.
