The Digital Centrifuge TD4C is a compact benchtop centrifuge with digital controls, used for blood and sample separation, including plasma separation and PRP preparation. It is the highest-priced centrifuge in our range, meant for clinics and laboratories where sample preparation is a frequent task rather than an occasional one.

Inside the chamber, the rotor spins closed tubes quickly enough that blood separates by density, with red cells at the bottom, a thin platelet-rich layer above them and plasma on top. For PRP, the quality of the preparation depends on following the tube maker's protocol closely and on a machine that holds steady through the run. Digital controls make the run settings explicit instead of leaving them to judgement, and the TD4C's stable centrifugal performance supports consistent preparation from one patient to the next. Its simple operation means staff can learn a single routine and repeat it.

In the treatment room

In a practice that offers PRP regularly, the TD4C is set up once in a dedicated clean area and becomes part of a fixed routine: draw, label, balance, spin, collect. Keep that routine written down so every member of staff prepares samples the same way. Blood handling rules apply throughout: gloves, closed tubes, sharps into a sharps container, blood-contaminated waste into clinical waste, and the chamber disinfected after each session. Wait for the rotor to stop before opening the lid, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for loading and maintenance. PRP procedures should be carried out by qualified clinicians.
