The DLAB Digital Centrifuge is a 5,000 RPM benchtop laboratory centrifuge with digital controls, used for blood sample separation and the preparation of plasma and PRP. Settings are entered digitally, which makes it easier to set the same run accurately for every patient, and its compact design keeps it to a small area of bench.

In PRP preparation, the protocol comes from the maker of the tube or kit: a set speed and duration for one or more spins. A centrifuge that holds a steady speed and lets the operator set it precisely helps the clinician follow that protocol exactly rather than approximately. The 5,000 RPM figure is the top of the DLAB's range; the protocol decides the speed actually used, which may be well below it.
