About the LED Light Mask

The LED Light Mask is a hands-free facial device that places light-emitting diodes across the whole face at once. The client lies back with the mask in position while the chosen setting runs, leaving the therapist free to prepare the next step of the treatment instead of holding a handpiece. Because the mask covers the face in one position, there is no need to move a handheld lamp from area to area.

LED light therapy uses visible light of different colours, and in professional skincare each colour is associated with a different kind of routine. Blue light, for example, is commonly used in acne-prone skin care, red light in routines that support skin rejuvenation, and other settings in calming treatments. In the treatment room

An LED session fits easily into a facial, after cleansing and exfoliation or while a serum is on the skin, and it gives the client a quiet stretch of rest in the middle of the treatment. Because the mask sits over the eyes, make sure the client's eyes are protected with suitable goggles or eye shields, and ask during consultation about light sensitivity, photosensitising medication and conditions such as epilepsy. Stay close by for the whole session, follow the manufacturer's guidance on timing, and wipe the inner surface with a suitable disinfectant between clients.
